This chabu was inspired by a poem about 7 bowls by Lu T’ung from “The song of tea”. It was hand made from up-cycled old cotton cloth and dyed with tea leaves. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
The first bowl sleekly moistened throat and lips:
The second banished all my loneliness; The third expelled the dullness from my mind,
Sharpening inspiration gained from all the books I've read.
The fourth brought forth light perspiration, Dispersing a lifetime's troubles through my pores.
The fifth bowl cleansed every atom of my being.
The sixth has made me kin to the Immortals.
This seventh is the utmost I can drink–
A light breeze issues from my armpits.

It was washed in the machine of the delicate settings and ironed on cotton setting. Two sides look slightly different and it can get stained with tea and water drops with time, which will add another layer of pattern to it. ⠀⠀
